Heyy my beauties! It's that time again, another month has gone by :-) I wanted to share some of my May favourites.. these include; skincare, make-up and fashion. I really hope you enjoy reading!
1. Ren AHA Serum -
LOVE this serum, i'd say it is the best/most effective serum I have used. I use this each night after I wash my face then apply my moisturiser before bed. I find if I have any breakouts or dry skin they are vastly improved by the morning after using this serum. I find the AHA ingredients really work well for my skin. I love the tingly feeling when you apply this product to your face, it's seems like you can feel it working :-) If you like glycolics and they work well for you i'd deff recommend trying out the Ren AHA serum. I also love that Ren do not test on animals <3 as an animal lover this really makes Ren a very appealing brand to me. All their products seem to be of a high quality, I have quite a few samples of different Ren products and they all work great!
2. Maybelline concealer -
Can't believe I have only just tried this concealer.. it is my new fav! I was previously using a MAC concealer mixed with Revlon skin lights, but this Maybelline concealer stick has definitely taken over as my new fav. I love the consistency, It covers well without being too cakey or heavy. I also find this product blends in really well and does not crease throughout the day. I got this from my local drugstore, it was very affordable which is an added bonus. Huge thumbs up for this product!
3. Smashbox Photo Finish Light Primer - I have been using this primer for a couple of months now and I plan to continue using it for a long time! I love that this primer is oil free and very light on the skin. The consistency is quite silky and clear in colour. A little goes a long way and I find it really helps to even out my combination skin. It leaves the face feeling so soft and non greasy. I also have quite large pores on my nose and I definitely think this product helps to stop my pores getting clogged up with make-up / dirt throughout the day.
I recently went on holiday and forgot to take my primer (which I will never do again).. I must say I really noticed a huge difference without it, not in a good way!
I think this primer would work well on any type of skin, however If you have combination/break out prone skin I would 100% recommend this product.. it is fantastic :-)
5. Nivea - In shower body moisturiser
Picked up this product a couple of weeks ago from my local drugstore, and it has really been a great addition to my shower routine. You use this product after washing with your shower gel.. you simply rub it all over your body then wash off! It leaves your skin feeling so soft and moisturised. I love how quick and convenient this is to use, and you don't need to use moisturiser after showering when you use this product. However I do have a couple of very dry patches of skin/eczema on my body so I sometimes like to add a little extra moisturiser to these parts after my shower if needed. It perfect if you are in a rush or if you often forget to moisturise your full body, like me :P
5. Summer Trousers
I wanted to share 1 fashion favourite for this month, and it has to be these new trousers from Forever 21.
I think they are so perfect for summer, I love them! I really love how comfy and light they are, and of course have a beautiful floral design which is one of my favs <333 I think the high waisted shape is very flattering, they also hide any lumps and bumps which is always great. I think these are a perfect addition to a summer wardrobe!
I really hope you enjoyed this blog, if you try/have tried any of these products please let me know your thoughts :-)
Lots of love, Rachie xoxoxox
Hello my sweet peas :-) I have been working on a new video for you guys today, to show one of my favourite hairstyles at the moment. I like to call this look the braided halo! I think it looks super cute and is a great hairstyle for the summer.
If you don't know how to do a dutch braid it's kind of like a backwards french plait. You take 3 section of hair and put each side section under the middle section, as you braid you add in small pieces of hair to each section. Hopefully my video below will help show you how to achieve this look :-) it is really easy once you get the hang of it!

Hello my darlings :) I was playing around with some make-up looks and wanted to share this dramatic sparkly/smokey eye look with you guys. I normally like to wear fairly natural looking make-up on a day to day basis, so enjoyed playing around with a more heavy eye look for a change.
Face - To begin this look I mixed my BB cream with Revlon skinlights and applied this all over my face with a beaut blender to give a nice glowy look. I then used my MAC prep & prime stick in lightboost to highlight underneath my eyes.
For contour I used the darkest brown shade of bronzer from the natural collection. I applied this below my cheekbones, around my forehead and underneath my chin. I also used the same powder to contour my nose. I really like how this powder isn't too orangey or dark, it's more of a neutral brown tone :-) for blush I used one of the matt pink colours from my eBay blush palette.
Eyes - First I preped my eyelids with Urban Decay's eye shadow base. I currently have a sample sachet of this, which has lasted me quite a while :-) a little goes a long way. I will definitely be purchasing the full size product once my sample has run out!
I then used a matt brown eye shadow in my crease from my smashbox full exposure palette and blended this out nicely using the fluffy end of the brush, included in the palette. After this I carefully added a couple of layers of the black shadow from the same palette. The key was then to really blend blend blend! I then went ahead and applied the silver eye shadow which is from Sephora (sorry I don't know the exact colour, i've had the eyeshadow for so long the writing has rubbed off). Before applying the silver shimmery colour, I dipped my brush in eye drops. This make the eye shadow come out a lot brighter and pigmented which looks great! It has a similar effect as MAC fix plus.
To line my lashline I used my fav gel liner from Rimmel, I then applied Ardel lashes to finish the eyes.
Products I used for this look:
- Maybelline BB cream - Medium
-Revlon Skinlights - barelight
-MAC prep+prime highlighter - lightboost
-Natural collection bronzing powder - golden glow
-MUA lip balm
-Smashbox full exposure palette
- Sephora eyeshadow
-eBay blush palette
-Urban Decay eyeshadow base
If you would like to see a video of how I did this look please let me know :) I will be filming some stuff this weekend for my YouTube channel. I really hope you enjoyed this blog and make-up look.. As always your feedback and thoughts are much appreciated!
Until next time, i'll see you later my beauties :-)
Lots of love.. Rach xoxox
Happy Sunday to you all, hope you are having a nice relaxed weekend!
I filmed a quick video on my iPad..I will get up some better quality videos up in the next couple of weeks once my tripod arrives, so please excuse the poor quality of this one.
I don't often do a lot of styling to my hair, but when I do the hot tools deep waver is definitely my go to tool :) I love how quick and easy it is to use. It heats up very quick and you can put a lot of hair into the waver at once if you are in a rush. It gives beautiful big waves rather than curls, if you want to see how it works please watch my video below!
Hello my lovely's, the weather seems to finally be getting warmer so I wanted to share some of my high street spring/summer fashion ideas! Please bare in mind I do live in England so it's not too hot over here :p and often I like to wear a blazer with my looks for our ever changing weather. Bring on the summer!
For my first look I wanted to share my favourite shirt from ASOS. I absolutely love the pattern on this shirt.. I think it is so beautiful and very comfy to wear. I decided to do 2 option for this look; 1 with peach trousers (from H&M) and 1 with shorts. The one with shorts i'd probably wear on a hot day at the weekend, the other look with trousers is more one I may wear to work in the office, in the summer.
This outfit includes a couple of my latest purchases :) playsuit & Blazer from New Look.
I really love the bright colours of this playsuit, and thought it would be perfect for summer. I also like that it has a zip down the front, so you can choose whether to be more revealed or covered.
The oversized blazer is lightweight and comfortable, I wear it with so many of my outfits!
These are the final 2 looks I wanted to share in todays blog, and both include some of my favourite items right now.
Left - This look includes a floaty top from New look / blazer and pencil skirt from Zara. I love this look as it is something I could wear to work as well as at the weekends. I am loving the floral prints this year.. as you may have noticed!
Right - One of my fav casual comfy summer looks. I really like this light mint green peplum top, I actually have a couple in different colours. I like that is has a lace overlay which gives it a nice textured look. I decided to pair this with a pair of white jeans and my fav bag. This bag I brought from a market in Malaysia about a year ago :) I also picked up one in orange which i'm sure i'll be using a lot this summer.
I really hope you enjoyed some of my fashion ideas for the spring/summer.. please do let me know what you think! I work at an accountants on weekdays so I like to choose clothes I can wear both at work and home.
Thanks very much for reading my darlings :) i'd love to know what else you would like to see on my blogs? I will be posting a new smokey eye make-up look later this week, so if this is something you are interested in please keep a look out!
Lots of love, Rach xoxo
Hello my sweet peas :-) hope you're all having a good week so far, I can't believe it's almost half way through May already..time is flying by!
On todays blog I wanted to share my thoughts on the Smashbox full exposure palette, I brought this palette a couple of weeks back and I'm loving it!
Firstly I really like the packaging of this product, the palette comes with a free mascara and a double ended brush which works very well. Also a booklet to explain eye shapes with suggested methods of how to apply eye shadow to accentuate your features.
It comes with 7 matt shades and 7 shimmery shades. A little goes along way with these eye-shadows and they blend really well.
In the image above I used the top 3 shimmery shades on the left hand side of the palette, and the darkest brown colour in my crease/outside corner of my eyes.
In my opinion each one of the eye-shadows in this palette are so beautiful, I can't decide which one is my fav. You can create a great day to night looks with these colours and build them up if you prefer a more dramatic look.
This is probably my favourite palette right now as I love each and every shade it includes, and I can create a lovely look every day using this product.
If you are looking for a neutral palette to try I would 100% recommend the Smashbox full exposure palette!
If you have tried this palette I'd love to know your thoughts about it, and see photos of looks you have created :-).
Thanks for reading!
Hey Friends, how are you all doing? Firstly I wanted to thank you for checking out my website. I hope you enjoy my weekly blogs / upcoming videos!
I wanted to share some of my favourite products for April :-)
1. Lily Lolo mineral foundation
This foundation was recommended to me by a friend, she has flawless skin so I thought I'd try it out. I have been using the Lily Lolo mineral foundation for a couple of months now.. it is AMAZING and works so well on my skin. I have blemish prone combination skin, with dry areas on my cheeks and a oily T zone. I found this foundation works so well to hide any blemishes and even out my skin tone. It also does not give me breakouts which is a huge bonus. It lasts really well on my skin all day, and does not need to be topped up or set with a powder. As a working lady I do not have much time in the morning to spend on my make-up, I love how quick and easy this foundation is to apply. I tap out a small amount of product into the lid, and apply with a kabuki brush (the colour I use is - Cookie).
I was sceptical about using a mineral powder foundation as I'd mainly researched bare minerals and heard very mixed reviews. However I cannot fault the Lily Lolo powder. It is definitely my favourite foundation/powder I have ever tried.
Before applying the mineral foundation I cleanse/moisturise my face and use my Smashbox photo finish primer.
I feel like if you have very dry skin this may not work as well for you. However if you are looking for a foundation which is easy to apply, includes SPF, and leaves you with flawless looking skin, i'd definitely recommend Lily Lolo!
Where to purchase: http://www.lilylolo.co.uk
You can also purchase Lily Lolo from Amazon which is where I got mine from :-) they ship worldwide.
2. AHA/BHA Exfoliant Cleanser
I cannot say enough good things about this product!
Firstly it contains Glycolic and Salicylic acids along with micro beads which clean out the skin so well. Over time this has eliminated any blackheads and cleared out my blocked pores. The overall condition of my skin has vastly improved since using this product!
I have tried a few other similar products but have not found one which works as well as this. I was advised by the spa I brought this from that it can be used morning and night. The micro beads are small and not too harsh which is perfect for every day use, without causing irritation to the skin. I like to massage this product into my face then leave for a few minutes to let the acids do their magic.
I am really so pleased I came across this product it has done wonders for my skin!
Where to buy:
Best Face & Body day Spa - Woodland Hills CA.
You can order online at -
The only downfall about this is the spa currently only ships within the US.
3. Blush Palette
Really liking this blush palette this month :-) it has a variety of shades including matt or shimmery options. My favourites are the pinks, a little goes a long way with these which is great. I picked this up from eBay for just 5.99, such a bargain!!
4. NARS contour stick
I had been looking for a contour stick for quite a while and finally came across this one from NARS which i'm loving! I decided to go for the darkest shade 'Vientiane' so I could use it all year round even when I have a tan in the summer. It can be blended out really easily to get the shade you want. I use this on my cheeks, forehead and on the sides of my nose. It is a slightly pricey but I feel it's definitely worth it :-) I also think this will last a very long time so it is a worthwhile addition to my make-up collection. If you are looking for a great product to contour with which is an alternative to powder i'd definitely recommend this!
Where to buy:
