Hey darlings :-) Hope you are all well?
It has been a while since I posted a favorites blog so I thought one was very overdue. Here are a few of my current favs, from beauty to books. I really hope you enjoy this post and do let me know some of your favs too, i'd love to give them a try!
#1 Don't sweat the small stuff:
Thought i'd start with something a bit different... a recent favorite which isn't beauty or fashion related. It is the 'Don't sweat the small stuff' audio book. I really love this audiobook and have listened to it a number of times already. I think it is perfect to listen to while you are cleaning, working, taking a walk ect. I personally find it very calming, it helps a lot if i'm feeling stressed or having a bad day. If you get stressed out easily or are looking for a way to be more positive, i'd definitely recommend this!
#3 Body shop perfume:
The scent I have is 'Madagascan Vanilla Flower' which is a lovely sweet smell. I really love sweet smelling perfumes especially vanilla, so this one is perfect for me. I find this perfume last all day and sticks to my clothes well. I love picking up a scarf i've worn and smelling this beautiful scent. It is also super affordable which is great!
#5 Lily Lolo BB cream:
Last but not least...the Lily Lolo BB cream. This stuff is AMAZING and lived up to my expectations completely. If you have checked out my previous blogs/videos you will know how much I love the mineral powder foundation by Lily Lolo, so when I saw they recently brought a BB cream I had to try it.
Firstly I really love that is has a pump. I find the consistency fairly thick but it blends out really well. It is also really moisturizing and leaves your skin looking youthful and healthy. I had this on all day and I have to say I was super impressed with how long it lasted :-) 100% the best BB cream I have ever used! The only downfall with this product is it only comes in 2 shades - medium and light. I am really hoping they get more shades in the future.
I would like to do a full review / demo of this product soon, so please let me know if this is something you'd like to see?
Thank you so much for reading :-) i'll talk to you in my next blog/video. Please let me know if there is anything in particular you'd like to see on my site - more makeup or hair tutorials, fashion ect?
Lots of love xoxoxox
Hey my darling!
In today's blog I wanted to share my method of covering tattoos with makeup. This isn't something I do often but when I used to model, on occasions I would need to cover my tattoos. I also have a video linked below showing the process!
How to VIDEO - http://youtu.be/TmCuWP5_n24
I use Sally Hansens airbrush legs to cover tattoos. This product is supposed to be for tanning but works well to cover ink and other marks on the skin. The only downfall are the shades are quite dark and orangey toned. Therefore if you have pale skin I don't think this would work for you, however you could add a light powder over the top to lighten the color :-) the color I use is 'light'. When I have more of a tan I like to mix light and medium together to get the right shade.
What I do is spray the product over my tattoo, then use a hair dryer to set the spray. You can add as many layers of the product as needed. I find it takes 15mins or so for the airbrush legs to fully dry. Once it is dry it lasts a long time! It is even waterproof and doesn't transfer onto clothes once dry. To remove I shampoo the area and shower off.
It isn't a perfect cover but I think it does pretty well! If you have a smaller tattoo I think this would work great :-).
I really hope this post has been helpful for some of you. Please let me know if you try it out, and don't forget to watch my video linked above! <3
Lots of love, Rach xoxoxox
Hey my darling :-) welcome back to my website. Hope you are all doing well.
I am heading away for a long weekend in Amsterdam with my fiance Albert. We are flying over and taking hand luggage only - I thought it would be fun to do a pack with me blog so you can see what I bring along, as well as useful purchases I made to go in my hand luggage.
Make-up & skincare:
I didn't want to take too much make-up as I think it's going to be more of a chilled out weekend away, rather than dressed up and glamorous! I tried to choose as many powder products as I could rather than liquids to take on the plane.
I picked up a few mini products (shampoo, conditioner, tooth paste & moisturizer) from my local drug store which I think are super cute :-) I also find any sample size products are perfect to take on vacation.
I think it's very important to make sure you take a good moisturizer with you, as planes seem to make the skin very dry. Taking a hydrating face mask with you would also be a good idea!
We are going to be away for 3 nights so don't need too many outfits :-) I like to plan each days outfit before I go. I find if I don't do this I end up taking far too much stuff... or too many of the same thing!
I decided to take a couple of pairs of jeans which can be worn with various tops. I find jeans a good safe option for most days :-) they are comfy and can be worn in various weather conditions!
My high waisted jeans are my fav! I then brought 4 tops, mostly patterned with a pop of color. I think these go perfectly with a plain pair of jeans. Finally for shoes I just choose to bring 1 pair of flats, as we are mainly going to be walking and cycling around I thought these would be most convenient!
Thanks so much for reading :-) I hope you enjoyed and this blog gave you some ideas of what you can bring on a short vacation!
Lots of love - Rachie xoxoxoxox
Hey friends :-) Sorry it has been a while since my last post! I've been trying to work on videos for my youtube channel as well as work my day job. But I will be making sure I start up my weekly posts again for you guys!
In todays blog I wanted to share my thoughts on a few recent purchases I made. Last week I went to a make-up outlet in Portsmouth and picked up a couple of new blushers which i'm loving!
I picked up these 2 MAC blushes for a discounted price of £14 each (was £20 each).
I think these may be limited edition but they had quite a few left in the store I got these from. I couldn't decide which I preferred so I had to pick up both!
I really love both of these, they are super pigmented so you only need a really small amount! I also like that they have a slightly shimmery look so can be worn without highlighter.
I would say the pink blush is definitely my new favourite :-) I have used it every day since purchasing.
If you are looking for a new blush I'd deff recommend trying one from MAC the colors are beautiful, and I find they also last all day!
My other new purchase has been one of these Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stains.
I picked this up from my local drugstore, I have the color '001 India Intrigue' which is a beautiful pink color.
I'm in a split mind about this lip stain...I think it looks gorgeous when applied, and I love that it has a non sticky texture. I also find it leaves my lips very soft which is great.
However on the downside I don't feel it lasts very long, and does need to be topped up regularly. For a lip stain I was expecting something which lasted a bit longer, so on this note I am slightly disappointed with the product.
But in terms of how it looks, the texture and packaging I do really like it! I plan to keep using this product and will definitely let you know my thoughts in a month or so :-).
I also picked up some new shampoo from the Body Shop, for flakey dry hair. But haven't had a chance to use this yet. When I do I will let you guys know what I think!
I hope you enjoyed this quick new purchases/review blog :-) if you have tried out these products definitely let me know what you thought. Also if you know any dupes for the MAC blushers i'd love to know!
Thanks for checking back to my site, and I hope you all have a lovely weekend! <33333333
