Happy 2019!! Can’t quite believe I’m saying that, I still feel like it should be a few months away! Anyway here we are, I hope you all had a lovely break over the holidays and ate as much food/chocolate as you could... I know I pretty much lived on junk food throughout December whoooops!
The new year always seems to call for the latest new diet trends, fitness goals, getting healthy, weight loss ect ect. So I thought it would be the perfect time to post about my experience of trying lipoglaze Cryotherapy fat freezing and lipofirm body contouring.
A little background on my diet and thoughts on my body... I basically eat what I want when I want. I've never really been one to diet and I am a huge lover of chocolate and cakes! Anything sweet is my weakness!
I used to be really tiny, but like most people as i've got older and also had a child i've gained weight/curves. To give you an idea I'm now around a UK size 10 i'd say. In my early twenties I was probably a size 6 with a 25 inch waist. My hips used to measure 32 inches pre baby and now they are 36.
I don't really dislike my bigger body it's just different to me. To be honest I think I prefer my bigger hips and bum now. However I do have a tiny ribcage so I feel like weight on my tummy can easily be seen and looks a bit out of place next to my small waist. This was one of the main reasons I wanted to try some sort of lipo... I wanted to loose fat only in a targeted area and I don't think I would have been able to do this with dieting.
Does it really work? Is it worth it? What even is it? All will be answered!
Who else loves autumn and the holiday season that follows? It's probably my favourite time of year (other than my birthday haha) not only because it's filled with giving and love but also because of the fashion!
I absolutely love shopping for autumn clothes and going out dresses for the holiday season. It's a time of year when you can go overboard on the sequins and sparkly numbers!! In today's post I thought it would be fun to put together a few pieces that are on my Wishlist at the moment, as well as ways to style them. To follow, next month I am also planning a party/Christmas Lookbook for my youtube channel!
I know we are only half way through October...but who else is super excited for Christmas?!?!
It's definitely my favourite time of year and I love finding Christmas goodies nice and early to get extra excited about. This year I have been lucky enough to try out one of the beauty advent calendars by The Green People. I have seen so many beauty advent calendars around this year but for me the one by the Green People was perfect, as it's packed full of cruelty free, certified organic skincare and makeup! For those of you who had followed by blog for a while you will know I am a huge lover of their products!
*** SPOILER ALERT *** products included in this advent calendar are mentioned below
Hey darlings, I hope you have all had a lovely week so far?
Today's post is something a little different, but something I wanted to mention as you know I love to save you guys money if I find a good deal! So the other day I was talking about contact lenses to some of my family members, and it came up in conversation about Lenstore. I discovered Lenstore about 3 or 4 years ago and have been getting my contact lenses from there ever since! It got me thinking that I should definitely share it with you all!
A little background about my eyes...
I am unfortunately VERY short sighted. To give you an example, if I have my laptop on my lap it's completely blurry without my glasses or contact lenses... So I am always wearing either glasses or contacts.
Finding the right contacts lenses...
Many years back I used to buy monthly lenses which were great in terms of being cost effective. But I had my fair share of problems with those, getting eye infections and a lot of discomfort after wearing the lenses a few times. Admittedly it may have been I wasn't looking after them well enough or something along those lines but I did feel I did everything I was supposed to with them.
After that I tried 2 weeklies then moved on to daily disposable lenses which I really loved, I personally found them the most comfortable and hygienic of any lenses i'd tried. The only downfall with daily lenses was the cost. To have enough pairs for every day of the month was really expensive from the highstreet opticians! That's when I started to do research and came across Lenstore. If you are a contact lens wearer you will probably recognise a lot of the brands on the Lenstore website, my personal favs are the 'Focus Dailies All Day Comfort' I have been buying these for years now and have never been let down. I often get itchy and dry eyes but find these don't irritate or make my eyes any worse thankfully!
So why am I writing this and letting you know about Lenstore? Because the prices of the contact lenses on the Lenstore website are SO good that I really think that everyone who wears contacts should know about it! For 30 daily disposable lenses it comes to £14.65 which I think is such a bargain... I believe this is less than half the price I was paying before from a highstreet branch of opticians.
For those of us who need glasses/contacts it's so frustrating having to pay out so much money on an on-going basis so I really believe it's important to share finds like this. Of course I'm not saying you should just go for the cheapest option over quality BUT if you can find the same brand and quality for a better price then that's perfect right?!
This isn't something I had thought of mentioning before as it's just something I have been buying for years and didn't really think anything about it. But after hearing how much friends were spending on their contact lenses I thought it was definitely worth sharing! Of course I wanted to get the best deal for all of you lovely people who read my blogs so I decided to contact Lenstore to let them know I would be sharing this post.
To which they kindly gave me a discount code 'RACHIE10' for you all to use if you need any contact lenses. This will give you 10% off your order, all you will need is an up to date contact lens prescription where relevant!
I really hope this post was helpful and saves you some money if you wear contacts and don't already get them from Lenstore. If you have any other recommendations please do let me know!

MY FAV LENSES: Focus Dailies All Day Comfort
What is your favourite way to relax and treat yourself? As a busy working mum I hardly get any peace and quiet so my ideal relaxation time would be a massage or something spa based. Over the next few weeks I am going to be sharing some of my favourite spas and places to pamper yourself!
Although it can easily be forgotten we should remind ourselves the importance of taking time out to refresh and relax. I know it can be hard to find the time, but try to put a few hours or so aside for YOU at least once a month.
In today’s post I wanted to give a quick shoutout to Little Jasmine day spa and Beauty Salon in Brighton & Hove.
What is so good about this particular spa?
In short, the standard of their treatments is absolutely amazing! I haven't been anywhere else in the UK that lives up to the same standard of massage as Little Jasmine. I’ve had lots of massages at other places too but I find the ones here superior to other massage therapies I’ve tried, they also seem to be very consistent no matter which person you get doing the treatment which is really great. There's nothing worse than having a great treatment by one therapist then something on a totally different level from another at the same place.
As well as being relaxing I find the massages actually 'do' something too to help my back pain for the longer than the time the massage lasts. Of course it's lovely to have a massage to help you feel relaxed but if it can help joint pain too for a longer period of time then that's a massive bonus right?! My favourite massage they offer is the Thai Fusion, which is a combination of Thai oil, traditional Thai, hot stone and deep tissue. I haven’t found a massage like this anywhere else and it’s soooooo good! In my opinion it's the perfect balance between stretching to sort out those pains and being very relaxing.
A little background about my body:
For many years now I have had back pain, it pretty much aches all the time and since having a baby I find my hips get quite achey too if I walk for too long ect. Spending a lot of time at a desk doesn’t help either, combined with stress and not enough sleep. I’ve been trying to find ways to help this and so far yoga and massages have been the most helpful.
I have been to a chiropractor before for the aches and pains but I have actually found these massages to be more beneficial which is a really great...as well as cheaper and more relaxing haha. Of course everyone is different so if you do have chronic pains be sure to tell your massage therapist before hand so they can make sure you are having the suitable treatment!
What else do they offer?
As well as a variety of amazing massages Little Jasmine also offer beauty treatments such as Elemis facials, crystal clear microdermabrasion, nails and waxing (there are so many varieties of facials and massages so be sure to check out their website for the full details). I am hoping to book a crystal clear microdermabrasion facial when I get some free time, so I will definitely let you all know how that goes! Something else I love at this spa is the infrared sauna, I personally love to go in the sauna for half an hour before having a massage. These two combined are absolute heaven!!
I have to say I'm really pleased that I have finally got around to writing this blog post...I'm so slow with getting posts up I know sorryyyy (busy mumlife takes over)! I've wanted to mention Little Jasmine Spa for quite some time now. I love sharing amazing little finds like this with you all! There are so many places out there that it can be hard to choose. I do genuinely believe that this place is worth every single penny and is 100% worth trying out if you haven't already. If you only have limited time and your hard earned cash it's important to choose somewhere that is going to give you the best possible treatments and experience :-) hopefully some of you will be able to enjoy the lovely therapies here as much as I have over the years!
If you do visit Little Jasmine spa or have been here before i'd love to know your thoughts and favourite treatments?
Also as a side note - this place does the BEST thai tea! They bring it over from Thailand and it is just blissssss... If you have been to Thailand and miss the tea then you need to book up here just so you can have some haha!
** DISCLAIMER I was NOT paid for this post - I contacted Little Jasmine to ask if they'd be interested in me writing a blog post to which they replied yes and offered me a complimentary massage as well as 10% off for my lovely readers. I have been paying for treatments here for years and will continue to do so for many more i'm sure! **
Hello my lovelys and welcome back!
Today i'm going to be talking about my experience getting microneedling! I had my first session recently and thought it was something that you guys might be interested in reading about :-)
So first thing's first, what is microneedling?
I'm sure many of you have heard of microneedling or dermaroller and seen the photo of Kim Kardashians bloody face and wandered what an earth is that?! In a nutshell microneedling basically puts hundreds of tiny little controlled punctures all over your face, which then forces your skin into repair mode. The Microneedling procedure is aimed at stimulating the natural processes of production and regeneration of collagen.
(For a much more detailed description and all the ins/out from a professional be sure to check out www.chellesbellesbeauty.com/microneedlingsussex)
I'd heard of microneedling in passing but when I really became interested in trying it out was when I went to get my eyebrows topped up and found out the lady who does my microblading was also going to be doing microneedling! For me personally, finding a good/trustworthy person to do the treatment is absolutely essential... especially for something like this!
I was super excited to get the treatment done, I really wasn't worried about the pain or anything like that... besides if it hurt it would be worth it right?
To start Chelle put some numbing cream all over my face, I think this was on for about 20 minutes. During this time she explained the process and went over aftercare details ect. Once the numbing cream had kicked in we started with the microneedling. It wasn't really painful at just a scratchy strange feeling! Chelle explained to me how she was changing the needle depth to suit the skin on different parts of my face, so the treatment really is tailored to your skin rather than a 1 size fits all.
It was actually done quite quickly and then of course I had to snap a red faced selfie!
Hello my darlings, I hope you've all had a good week so far?
I can't believe we finally got some snow in Brighton! Although the sun has been shining through it still seems to be so cold out...I do love the winter months as I get to wrap up in my favourite jumpers, sweatpants and coats BUT the cold weather really does take it's toll on my skin and hair!
In today's post I will be focusing on some new haircare I am currently using that really helps to condition and protect your hair. My hair has been bleached a number of times so I'm always on the look out for good products to use!
Firstly, I am very pleased to say this shampoo is cruelty free, SLS free, organic and packed full of lovely natural ingredients! The intensive repair shampoo and condition is made by The Green People, one of my long term fav skincare brands so I was very excited to try the shampoo.
A Little bit about the shampoo and conditioner...
The shampoo features our Colour lock system and is a strengthening shampoo for coloured or dry hair Made with Organic Green Tea, Yucca, Quinoa, Sandalwood & Orange its 82% certified organic and contains Quinoa Protein to help limit colour fade.
The conditioner is designed for dry, coloured, chemically-treated & frequently blow-dried hair and is a welcome treat for dry or stressed out hair. Made with Organic Green Tea, Aloe Vera & B vitamin, it boosts shine and nourishes scalp and hair shaft and helps prevents scalp dryness and loss of natural oils
Both the products have a really nice citrus smell which I personally love. I found the shampoo foamed up well on my hair (sometimes SLS free shampoos don't foam well) but this one seemed to work great and left my hair feeling very clean and refreshed.
I like to apply a generous amount of conditioner to my hair, you don't need too much of this one as a little goes a long way. I did feel it helped smooth my protect my hair which is exactly what I need. When conditioning my hair I like to leave the conditioner on for a couple of minutes to really like it soak in and treat the hair!
I have quite a dry itchy scalp and both the shampoo and conditioner didn't cause any irritation, if anything they helped soothe my scalp. I have found all of the products I have used from the Green People really help to soothe my skin...definitely must be a combo of ingredients that work well for me!
It has taken me quite a while to find some good cruelty free, SLS free haircare but I think I've finally found some I can stick to!
If you are on the lookout for a new shampoo/condition and would like something that does the job without being full of harsh chemicals then I'd 100% recommend picking up a bottle of this stuff!
What are your favourite haircare products? What do you look for when searching for a shampoo and conditioner? Always love to hear your thoughts and recommendations!

Hey my lovely's, how are you all doing? I can't believe it's November already....what...where has 2017 gone?!
I thought it would be fun to start doing some quick outfit blog posts, nothing too long just quick mentions of new items I am loving. What do you think?
Today's post is all about this lovely new silk blazer I got from Twenty Four Fashion - I am a huge fan of blazers as I feel they really make simple outfits look so much more put together and stylish. I paired this beautiful one with a t-shirt from H&M and leather look trousers from TopShop.
The fit and quality of this blazer are really fantastic (I have a size 8) I find it's really flattering and well fitted which is something I look for when investing in staple pieces for my wardrobe. I am also in LOVE with the light pink colour. In my opinion it's simple, classy and can be paired with so many other items in my wardrobe!
Below are a few photos of how I styled the blazer today, perfect for work, lunch with friends or even a shopping day!
Hello huns, how are you all?
Those of you who follow me on social media will probably have seen that I cut off over half on my hair last week! I have been wanting to chop it off for quite some time now but just wasn't brave enough for the big change...finally after months of contemplating I decided to go for it!
Why I decided to cut my hair?
To be honest I was getting a bit fed up of having really long hair. Although I love how it looked when I got out of the shower and first dried it, as the day went on I would find the underneath would often get knotted and to be honest it would just make me really hot!
I had my hair tried up the majority of the time so I just thought, what's the point of having lovely long hair to have it tired up all the time?
Choosing a style...
So when it came to choosing a style I knew I wanted to go quite a bit shorter, I wanted a big change and loved how the long bob looked on many other people. I decided to go for a slightly graduated lob so the front was longer than the back, I personally find this a really flattering hair style as well as being very easy to manage!
Styling my new hair...
If you read my last hair blog post you will know i'm not a fan of using heat tools on my hair, I was slightly worried about this as I wasn't sure if I would be able to style my new hair as I liked without curlers...all the tutorials I had watched on youtube all seemed to use a curling wand. However I am very pleased to say I managed to get some lovely waves by putting my hair in 2 dutch braids overnight just like I used to when it was long!
Overall I am so happy with my new hair! The simple things like being able to wear a scarf or hoodie without getting my hair tangled up in it is amazing :-) I love how quickly my hair dries and I can go with not brushing it all day and it's still not knotty in the evening...LOVE!
What do you guys think of the new style? If you would like to see any tutorials of how I style my lob please let me know!
Where I had my hair done:
I had my hair done by an amazing hairdresser called Danni, she is absolutely fantastic! If you are in the Sussex area and looking for a hairdresser I would definitely recommend getting in contact with her. She has her own little salon in Worthing, West Sussex. Very friendly, great prices as well as very talented!
Hello my darling, I hope you are all having a good week? It's really been getting cold and windy down in Brighton, definitely starting to feel like UK autumn/winter now!
Ok so let's jump into it... today's post is going to a review about the facial and body oil from Ermana Natural Skincare. If you have read my previous skincare blog posts you will probably know I am a HUGE fan of oils, so I was super excited when Ermana asked if I wanted to try out a couple of their products!
Firstly, who are Ermana Natural Skincare?
Ermana is a UK based skincare company. They also use UK based suppliers for all their ingredients, bottles and packaging. Ermana was created by a lady called Claire, the brand is all about creating natural, healthy, vegan and cruelty free products that pack the skin with goodness!

Hello my fellow fashion lovers, how are you all this week?
Today's post is going to be a quick fashion mention about my new favourite jeans, I really do think they are a good find and worth sharing with you guys!
A good pair of jeans is the base to so many outfits, they really are an essential for every wardrobe!
After years of chopping and changing, I finally have long thick hair which is 100% my own! That is not to say I haven't still dyed it many times and given my hair a slight battering along the way...
In today's post I'm going to be sharing my tips and tricks on how to achieve long thick healthy hair, without it having to be all natural in terms of bleaching and dye!
Changing colour without too much damage...
I am someone who likes to change up the colour of my hair, from dark brown, to red to light brown and blonde...not the greatest if you are trying to avoid those split ends when growing your hair. However if you dye your hair correctly and take care of it along the way, you really can still keep the length without too much damage!
The anti ageing facial oil by the green people is definitely the best facial oil I have tried, it's packed with natural ingredients and goodness!
