Hello my lovelys! Have you all had a good start to the year? I feel like January has really flown by!
If you follow me on social media you will have probably noticed I have been super busy for the last few months working on my new business project... I have definitely missed posting on my blog. It feels good to be back writing again, I must admit!
Today's post is going to be all about my new business and general update I guess!
So what is my new business and why did I decide to start it up?
Ezrala Design and Home Decor! Named after my son and favorite place (Los Angeles).
For many years I have done a variety of design work and photography for my own personal use and for other business's. My home decor store incorporates all this work from graphic design to photography merged into one to create some pretty prints, custom artwork, wedding accessories and other home decor pieces. I really wanted my artwork to be positive, minimalistic and something people could mix and match to incorporate into their home with other existing art pieces.
Over the years I have found it difficult to find the perfect business for me to fit around my family/financial needs. I was taking quite a few photography bookings for weddings ect not long ago but found this very time consuming and hard to keep up with especially when I have a young child. What I love about my home decor store is I can work on artwork any time of the day (usually when my son is asleep) then get it listed on my online shop, work on advertising and wait for sales. It really fits in perfectly with my family life and is something I can maintain as well as love doing! I think I may have finally found the perfect business for me :-)!!
Where do I sell my work?
Currently I sell my prints, custom artwork and wedding accessories on Etsy and pillows, t-shirts, cups, stationary and other home decor pieces on Redbubble.
I find Etsy a really great platform for small business owners and shoppers looking for something a little special! This year I will also be starting to sell my work at local markets across the south east and London. I may set up my own online store at some point if all continues to go well!

Other items for the home and office!
As well as prints I also have a variety of other items available on Redbubble. Pillows, duvets, t-shirts, notebooks, cups, clocks and more!
Thanks thanks thanks!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported Ezrala so far, from a like/follow on social media to buying my prints. It really means the world to me that I can create artwork and there are other people out there who like it enough to spend money on it :-) it's really true 'when you buy from a small business an actual person does a happy dance', in my case anyway!
I now have a few hours free on fridays as my son has started daycare, so I will be using some of this time to work on my blog on a much more regular basis as well as designs of course!
I hope you enjoyed this little update. I would love to know what you think of my designs? Also if you have a small business, do you have any recommendations of places to sell artwork?
Last but not least, a final thankyou...
I would not have started this business if it wasn't for my little sister believing in me and encouraging me to take the step to start my own shop. She has a very successful artwork business (Always Bookish) creating the most beautiful hand written artwork and wedding decor. If one day my shop could be half as successful as hers i'd be one proud lady <3
Welcome to the newest part of my site. Here I will be blogging about finance, interior design, food and other general lifestyle topics!
